KU offered various programs for students under academic probation to advance their learning

Konkuk University started the “Hak-up Program” to strengthen students who are lacking academic abilities. Furthermore, it was made to provide a stronger motivation to overcome their limits. The program helps students to find their study types and plan academic goals on their own.

The program is arranged with various courses such as academic mentoring and lectures in the first semester. The merit of this program is that everyone in the school could help. For example, students who are not under academic probation could assist them as mentors by meeting them once a week to study together. In addition, professors occasionally visit and give them advices. To pass the course of this program, students are required to score at least 60 points out of 100 on every activity. Students are only required to submit assignments instead of taking tests. KU awards a scholarship of 500,000 won to students who got over 2.6 Grade Point Average (GPA) and 1,000,000 won to students over GPA of 3.0 this semester. As a result, 196 students participated in this program and half of them received scholarships.

KU has continued this program in the second semester. Students can check their academic personality types and make study plans to increase the determination of learning.
