I think Wu Jing (吴京) is the most wanted actor in China. He is not only an actor but also a director and a martial artist who participated in really popular movies such as “Tai Chi Boxer (1996)” and “Shaolin (2011)”. He is also known for his high patriotism. With the fact that most of his movies are about China, we can see his patriotic spirit.
2. Do you have any recommendable movies that he has acted in?
I am not sure foreigners like his movie, because most of his movies are about China. I think “Wolf Warrior (戰狼, 2015)” is recommendable. In the movie, Wu Jing plays the main character named Leng Feng, and he also directed the movie. It is an action movie, and it was really successful in terms of profit. After the success of “Wolf Warrior”, Wu Jing made “Wolf Warrior 2 (2017)”. I think the “Wolf Warrior” series is really outstanding. In the movie, the Chinese special forces receive an order to deactivate an organization that produces biochemical weapons. This kind of unique story is super interesting.
3. What is the standard of successful movies in China?
Compared to Korea, China has much bigger territory and population. Thus, there is no strict standard, but what I can say is that Wu Jing’s “Wolf Warrior” series had a big success. For example, “Wolf Warrior 2” earned more than 5.68 billion renminbi (approximately 846 million dollars).

1. Who is “the most wanted actors” in America?
There are a lot of really famous actors and actresses, but I feel like some really well-known ones would be like Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks, and so on. I think Johnny Depp is the big one. He has been in many films.
2. Will you introduce him to us?
He is an old actor, maybe 55years old, and he has been in a lot of films like “Pirates of the Caribbean series (2003~2017)”. The reason I specifically chose him is whatever roles he plays, for example, you are not like “Oh, that is Johnny Depp.” but you are like “Oh, that is captain Jack Sparrow.” You maybe do not even recognize him, because the makeup and his acting are so good.
3. Do you have any recommendable movies that he acted?
It is absolutely “Pirates of the Caribbean”. In the movie, he is so believable. His characters are really entertaining and not really like any other characters, because he really only cares about himself. The other thing is about the actor or about series, which people are more invested in, going and seeing the next stories, things like “Star Wars (1977~)” and “Marvel(2008~)” movies. People do not really care so much about who the actors are, but they want to see what happens next in the time line for all the movies.
4. What makes the American movie industry special?
There are some popular directors. Over many movies, I can say the most wanted director is Steven Spielberg. However, right now, the person that American have been watching really closely is Jordan Peele. If you have seen advertisements for the new movie called “Us (2019)”, you may recognize there is his name in the advertisements. He is a new horror movie director who directed only two movies. “Get Out (2017)” was the first one and “Us” is the second one.

Sakaguchi Kentaro (さかぐちけんたろう) is the most wanted actor in Japan. He is not only popular in Japan but also in Korea. Japanese generally consider his appearance as cool. Moreover, Japanese prefer Korean actors’ appearance, and Sakaguchi Kentaro is well fitted with Japanese preference.
2. Do you have any recommendable movies that he has acted in?
I think “Heroine Disqualified (ヒロイン失格, 2015)” is the most famous. In that movie, there is another actor named Kento Yamazaki (やまざきけんと). He is also well-known actor in Japan. In the movie, there are three main characters. Two of them are boys and the another one is a girl. The three have been friends since they were really young. The girl (Kiritani Mirei), one of the main charaters, loves Kento Yamazaki but he already has a girlfriend then. Along the way, Sakaguchi Kentaro who is the most handsome guy in their school confesses his love to Kiritani Mirei. This story was really interesting for me.
3. What is the distinction of Japanese movie industry?
Japan is also well known for its animation industry, so there are many voice actors in Japan. Although he is not the most famous one, I like Yuichiro Umehara the most. He is known for his good looks and nice voice. His representative work is “Ace of Diamond Act II (2019)” which is a baseball animation. Aside from him, Yuki Kaji is also recommendable. He acted in many pieces of animation such as “Attack on Titan (2019)” which is also popular in Korea.
