It is already April, of 2020. The COVID-19 struck the whole world, leaving everyone in chaos. All students, especially 2020 freshman must be disappointed with this situation. However, if we keep on social-distancing, and wash our hands promptly, we will soon recover our peaceful daily life. Also, this could be the opportunity to stay home, and focus on our dear families and even ourselves. One more thing, do not forget to thank every medical team fighting against COVID-19. Cheer up everyone!

I had both wonderful and tough experiences in The Konkuk Bulletin last year. It was especially difficult to study, having part-time jobs as well as writing articles for the Bulletin. However, even though I was exhausted doing each of these activities, now I feel proud and fulfilled when looking back on these past times. Therefore, I believe every one of you will have glittering memories after the time passes, even if you are now having a hard time. We 'll carry regretful moments, especially regarding our faults from the past. However, the New Year has arrived, and it would be better to focus on the immediate present than to mumble about the past. I wish that every student in KU develops fascinating plans of your own, and then carries them out successfully.

In Vol.295, the Cover Story is about “Modern Society and Infectious Diseases”. There had been remarkable advances in medical standard as centuries passed. However, contagious diseases such as COVID-19, still deeply affects human society. In vol.295, Cover Story will introduce the reasons linked with social status of having difficulties handling the virus-contaminated situations. The Bulletin Comment, meanwhile, is about the need of providing a better studying place for students in the “Liberal Arts Building”, the “Education Science Building”, and the “Engineering Building”. I am certain that you will sympathize with the problems happening in KU.
