The 92nd Academy Awards was held on February 9, 2020 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscar Awards, is the most prestigious film awards ceremony in USA. There are 24 awards, and the highlight of the Academy Awards is the Best Picture Award. First of all, <PARASITE (2019)> is a Korean black comedy family drama film about the meeting between the upper and lower class families. It was nominated for a total of six categories, and won four awards, making it the most-winning film. It won Best Picture, Writing (Original Screenplay), and International Feature Film. Also, director Bong Joon-ho of <PARASITE (2019)> won Directing Award. <PARASITE (2019)>, won the Best Picture Award for the first time in a non-Englishspeaking film. Therefore, it has received much attention from around the world. Director Bong Joon-ho missed the Best Director Award at other major awards, but won the Best Director Award at the Academy Awards.

Second, <Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)> is a comedy set in Los Angeles in 1969, when the hippie culture peaked, with the star of the old TV western drama series and his longtime stunt partner. It is a film that is said to have shown the art that captures the nostalgia of Hollywood in the 1960’s. At the Academy Awards, it was nominated for a total of 10 categories and won Product Design Award. Also, Brad Pitt won Actor in a supporting.

Finally, <1917 (2019)> is a war film set in World War I based on some of the experiences of director Sam Mendes' grandfather. It was nominated for a total of 10 categories, and won Cinematography, Sound Mixing and Visual Effects Awards.
