KU developed information system

Konkuk University carried out a project to rebuild its information system from September 2019 to August 2020. The main changes are web-based system without installing Active-X, adding various functions and strengthening security, providing screens in three sizes of PC, tablet and mobile devices, and adding class registration functions and so on.

Access to previous academic information systems had to be Windows-based PC and web browsers had to use IE. Furthermore, students also had to install Active-X. The new system can be accessed from Windows, Mac Book, mobile and tablets without Active-X installation, and from any browser that complies with World Wide Web Consortium standards.

The existed information system was fixed in resolution. Therefore, even if PC had a high resolution, it could not use the information system at a high resolution. The changed information system resolution can change depending on the userʼs device resolution. The new information system is also accessible on mobile devices. In addition, it provides a sizeable screen.

There was no class registration in previous information system. However, by using new information system, students can register the classes. There are more improvements in new systems. Some of them are in the table above. Students can access the new information system on KU information system site(https://kuis.konkuk.ac.kr).
