2. Do not leave it just anywhere, especially where it blocks the way of people and cars.

3. Must drive under 20 km/h and be alone on the scooter.

4. Make sure the brake works before you ride.

5. Check the battery.

Precautions are well known for people who ride scooters, but some break the rules. Because of this carelessness, there had been lots of accidents regarding the scooters. It is common to see two people riding on one scooter in the campus. Moreover, as a new institution operates from December in 2020, teenagers from the age of 13 can ride the scooters without a driving license. Thus, riders must keep the rules in mind more carefully to prevent unexpectable accidents.

Tips

1. Get discounts.

There are multiple ways to get discounts for the ride. Check the app occasionally. For example, Xing Xing launched a 99,000 won promotion which allows you to ride its scooters for unlimited times for a total of 60 minutes per day until December 31. Additionally, if you park in the specified parking area such as Beam Zone and Hub, you can get discounts for future rides.

2. Take an insurance.

Most of the scooter companies provide an insurance service. Just in case an accident happens, make sure you take the insurance once you sign into the app. However, since the legal terms of using scooter will change, a driver’s license will no longer be needed. The insurance service can be applied differently depending on whether the user has a driving license or not.

3. Safety first.

Wear a helmet and any other safety equipment.
