“The Night of Seoul” was a huge success

The 56th Konkuk University Broadcasting Festival “The Night of Seoul” was held on December 2, at the Prime Hall in the Student Union building. It was the first time in three years that the broadcasting festival has been held face-to-face.
The purpose of planning the festival was to highlight an excessive metropolitan area centralization and emphasize the difficulties that citizens in other cities have. The festival consisted of two parts. Part Ⅰ consisted of an opening video, two main videos, and an audio drama. The first main video titled “What can I do unless I live in Seoul?” was the interview with students in other cities. The second main video titled “Seoul Universe” was about the realistic difficulties that can happen when commuting to school, using public transportation, or contracting real estate. The audio drama titled “SeOUL MATE” was a story about a protagonist and her roommates who came up to Seoul. Part Ⅱ consisted of a bridge video, concert, free gift lottery, and ending video. The bridge video titled “Seoul Night” was a five-minute music video directed by Academic Broadcasting System (ABS). The band LUCY was invited to the concert, culminating the climax of festival. Some fortunate audience members qualified the free gift lottery and received valuable prizes.
All ABS members made efforts to perform this special face-to-face festival. Sound mixing managers, announcers, and other staffs successfully led the broadcasting festival. Audiences also appreciated the high level of completion and gave a big applause at the end of festival.
