Post Covid-19 Era and the New Semester Events

Covid-19, which first started in December 2019, has changed our daily lives. The high propagation of Covid-19 limits communication between people. Thus, many lectures and various events in the new semester were completely devastated. However, recently, when the mandatory of wearing a mask was removed and people became experienced with personal disinfection, events such as freshman learning camps and department-meeting began to take place again.

The College of Social Sciences hosted a freshmen learning camp from March 3rd to 4th. Freshmen divided into a few groups and got to know each other through self-introduction and strengthened their friendship through joyful games. And in the evening, the excitement was raised through performances such as ‘A masked dancer’ and performances by band clubs in the College of Social Sciences. The College of Liberal Arts also hosted a freshmen learning camp from March 3rd to 5th. In particular, they progressed a unique event, ‘Find Moong-yi’ using the mascot character, ‘Moong-yi’. Freshmen took the ‘moong-yi’ QR code and solved quizzes or missions.

Pre-university time advises students on university life ahead of becoming  freshmen. Freshmen can learn how to register for courses, what clubs are in college, and how the curricula are conducted. Through their seniors, freshmen learning camps and department meetings are events that promote friendships between seniors and juniors. As such events have come back to beginning face-to-face, active communications between students and new useful events are expected.
