A Japanese Konkuk University student introduces Japanese food near Konkuk University and compares the difference between Japanese food in Japan and Korea based on name and taste. The first food is Sake-dong. Sake means grilled salmon or just the fish not raw salmon in Japan. On the contrary, Sake often means raw salmon in Korean. Therefore, in Japan, Sakedong of Korea is called Salmon-dong. The next food is Okonomiyaki. Okonomi means “favorite” in Japanese and people can make Okonomiyaki with their favorite food. The writer hopes readers to find many different countries’ cultures besides Japanese foods in Korea.
