Decisions regarding face-to-face class will be made in relation to vaccination rates

 

One and a half years have passed since classes moved online. However, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to get worse, with daily confirmed cases spiking over 2,000. Taking this into account, Konkuk University has announced its final guidelines, continuing with its current measure of limiting offline classes to courses in which face-to-face intera


Until midterm exams, lectures may only be delivered online. Students taking courses that contain experiments or practices are restrictively allowed to attend class in person. Unlike last semester, a few steps are required in advance for instructors to operate an offline class. They should account for their need to conduct face-to-face classes and obtain the university president’s approval. Additionally, theory-based class should be performed online even if the course consists of both theory and practice.ctions are necessary.

Amended class operation guidelines will be announced again after midterm exams. At that time, a transition to face-to-face classes will be considered based on vaccination rates. As vaccination rates are currently increasing, face-toface classes may be available as early as this November.
