KONKUK UNIVERSE is a metaverse program that opened during the “Kon- Tact art festival” from May 17 to 19, 2021. After four months, the General Student Association, GONG: GAN made another metaverse program “KONKUK UNIVERSE: Water Campus”. However, due to the server error, Water Campus was not available for Apple devices throughout the event. GSA promised to return with a normalized server for Water Campus during September.

Mini games for students were also developed. “Water Battle” is a battle held by students with squirt guns around Lake Il-gam, a distinct feature of KU. In “Fishing Boat”, players enjoyed fishing game by riding a boat in Lake Il-gam, catching diverse level of fish. “Surviving in Wawoodo” is another mini game, avoiding obstacles falling from the sky to survive.

These metaverse programs were planned to strengthen the sense of belonging for students who didn’t have chances to enjoy the campus life due to COVID-19. Also, “KONKUK UNIVIERSE: Water Campus” aims to provide space for harmony and communication like a real campus.
