The Konkuk Foundation celebrated its 91st anniversary on May 12, 2022. It has continued this tradition for a long-time in numerous fileds including education since Dr. Yoo Seok-chang founded a public hospital in 1931. It is an educational foundation that currently incorporates with Konkuk University Seoul Campus and Glocal Campus, Konkuk University Hospital, Konkuk University Chungju Hospital, Konkuk University High School and Middle school, Konkuk University Dairy, and Konkuk Ham.

   In the memorial speech, chairman Yoo Ja-eun reminded the audience of Dr. Yoo’s foundation ideas and its past achievements. In particular, she emphasized maintaining the foundation’s original ideas in the rapidly changing era of the Fourth Industrial Age.

   After the ceremony, a service award was given to employees who worked for the foundation for a long time. 34 people, including Professor An Hui-don, won the 30-year service award. And 66 people, including Professor Kim Seong-min, won the 20-year service award.

   In the second part of the speech, the vision declaration ceremony of affiliated organizations, including school corporations, was held. In this session, the Konkuk Foundation announced its achievements and declared its vision for the upcoming 100th anniversary.
