Konkuk University has started replacing its old speakers to new Bluetooth wireless speakers. After the examination in December 2021, it was confirmed that less than 10 percent of the overall speakers were working. ABS has continuously insisted on speaker repairment to the administration office. 
 After the speakers are fixed, announcements will be made at least once a day, about information regarding COVID-19 in campus or important news that need to be delivered quickly. Some professors were against this change. There was an opinion that announcements are just noisy and not helping. However, KU indicated that the speakers would play a significant role in a case of emergency such as natural disasters.
 Regular daily announcements will start in the second week of November. KU President, Jeon Young-jae offered congratulations on the resumption of announcements, through new speakers on October 26.
